The Problem Of Removing The Obscures in Quranic Episodes

Abstract

The Quranic episodes have been known to recount with no connection between different events chronologically. Furthermore the episodes recounted in Quran have no objective of reaching to the consequence based on such connections. The Quran is rather focusing upon an appropriate inference to be corresponded to appropriate time and setting. İn doing this gratuitous details of events are not given. Any connection between different times and settings are not overemphasized. This does not necessarily mean that there are incoherences of inconsistencies. Conceivably the objective of the message of Quran is not to recount any given event or subject in an unnecessarily detailed way. Scholars throughout the historical background of Islam have tried on their behalf to respond to quests related with this issue and tried to meet the various requirements of human mind and inquisition through different exegesies. However while doing this scholars knowing or unknowingly give way to “Israiliyyah” through syncretism. Thus we shall put into discussion those attempts of scholars and evaluate these attempts based on two examples as a methodolojy.
