İstanbul 29 Mayıs Üniversitesi İslam Tarihi Anabilim Dalı’nda Dr. Öğr. Üyesi olarak görev yapmaktayım ve Kudüs Çalışmaları Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi’nin (KÜDAM) müdürlüğünü yürütmekteyim. Birleşik Krallık’taki Aberdeen Üniversitesi’nden İslam Kudüs Çalışmaları alanında doktora derecesine sahibim. Kültürel ve tarihî çalışmalarla ilgileniyorum. Disiplinlerarası ve çok disiplinli bir yaklaşımla yürüttüğüm araştırmalarımda, Arap-İslâm tarihine ilişkin temel kaynakları inceleme ve değerlendirme konularında ileri düzeyde akademik beceriler geliştirdim.

Prof. Dr. Soner GÜNDÜZÖZ Ankara Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi Arap Dili ve Belagati Anabilim Dalı

Prof. Dr. SONER GÜNDÜZÖZ 1994 yılında Atatürk Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesinden mezun oldu. 1997 yılında Atatürk Üniversitesinde Arapça branşında yüksek lisansını, 2002 yılında OMÜ’de Arapça branşında doktorasını tamamladı. 1995–2006 yılları arasında Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi Arap Dili ve Belagati Anabilim Dalında araştırma görevlisi ve Dr. araştırma görevlisi olarak çalıştı. 20 Mart 2006’da doçent oldu. 2007 yılında Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı Din İşleri Yüksek Kurulu Uzmanı olarak çalıştı. 29 Ağustos 2008 tarihinde Din İşleri Yüksek Kurulu Üyeliğine atandı. Bu görevinin yanı sıra “Din İşleri Yüksek Kurulu Raportörlüğü” ve “IV. Din Şûrası Genel Sekreter Yardımcılığı” görevini yürüttü. Ayrıca Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı Konulu Hadis Projesi’nde de bir süre çalıştı. OMÜ’de 2011 yılında profesör olan Soner Gündüzöz, 2013 tarihi itibarıyla Ankara Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesine naklen atandı. Daha sonra bir süre ODÜ İlahiyat Fakültesi ve Kırıkkale Üniversitesi Fen Edebiyat Fakültesi Mütercim-Tercümanlık (Arapça) Bölümünde görev yaptı. 10 Temmuz 2020 tarihli Cumhurbaşkanı kararı ve 11 Temmuz 2020 tarihli 31182 sayılı Resmî Gazete’de yayımlanan ilgi Cumhurbaşkanı kararıyla Din İşleri Yüksek Kurulu Üyesi olarak görevlendirilmiş bulunmaktadır. Soner Gündüzöz akademik çalışmalarına ise Ankara Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi’nde devam etmektedir. Ayrıca Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığının Meal Projesi Meal Heyetinde Yalın ve Açıklamalı Kur’ân-ı Kerim Meali çalışmalarını sürdürmektedir.

-       Designed and developed frameworks for the Saudi teacher training program on the national level by nomination from the minister of Education. This led to the quality of teacher education programs in Saudi universities at large.
