Within the scope of this study, the studies in the literature for laboratory applications in science education
and chemistry education were examined and summarized under certain headings and tried to show the deficiencies
in the literature. In the study conducted in Turkey and a total of 42 articles were published between 2015 and
2000, reached the master's and doctoral theses (research in this study refers to 28). A content analysis method
was used to analyze the data. The data obtained from the studies reached; different approaches to the laboratory,
method and technical applications, problems with laboratory applications and concerns and attitudes towards
laboratory applications. The lack of use of experiment types in which the students are active in the results of the
research and the fact that the laboratory practices are not included in the program and the time is not enough or
the time is not enough, the classes are crowded, the lack of effective course materials, the examples related to
daily life, beliefs can be expressed as factors influencing the use of the laboratory. It has also been found in the
literature that there is little to be studied about security measures in laboratories, measurement and evaluation
applications in laboratories and studies on the integration of laboratory practices into daily life.
