Öz

This research aims to reliably and validly measure the performance of school principals based on teacher perceptions. Conducted with the participation of 498 teachers in the public sector, the study employed confirmatory and exploratory factor analyses to ascertain the validity of the scale. Following exploratory factor analysis, six sub-dimensions emerged: Human Resources Management, Education Planning and Evaluation, Enhancing Education Quality, Innovative Initiatives, Creating School Culture, and Managing School Physical Environment. The scale, comprising 33 items using a five-point Likert scale, demonstrated an eigenvalue of 42.92, with a total explained variance of 81.84%. The factor loadings of the items, ranging from .50 to .78, support the reliability of the scale. Confirmatory factor analysis results confirmed the six-factor structure of the scale. The fit indices from the confirmatory factor analysis (RMR=.04, RMSEA= .07, CMIN=1091.21, CMİN/DF=2.29, CFI= .94, NFI= .91, IFI=.94, TLI =.94) indicated a high level of fit. Total correlation values among the items ranged from .75 to .92. Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficients were calculated as .96 for Human Resources Management, .96 for Education Planning and Evaluation, .96 for Enhancing Education Quality, .94 for Managing School Physical Environment, .95 for Creating School Culture, and .95 for Innovative Initiatives. The overall internal consistency coefficient for the scale was 0.98, further supporting its reliability. This study demonstrates the successful development of a reliable and valid measurement tool for assessing school principals' performance based on teacher perceptions.

Okul Müdürü Performans Değerlendirme Ölçeği’nin Geliştirilmesi

Öz

Bu araştırma, öğretmen algılarına dayanarak okul müdürlerinin performansını güvenilir ve geçerli bir şekilde ölçmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Kamuda görev yapan 498 öğretmenin katılımıyla gerçekleştirilen çalışmada, ölçeğin geçerliğini belirlemek amacıyla doğrulayıcı ve açımlayıcı faktör analizleri yapılmıştır. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi sonrasında ortaya çıkan altı alt boyut şunlardır: İnsan Kaynakları Yönetimi, Eğitimi Planlama ve Değerlendirme, Eğitimin Kalitesini Artırma, Yenilikçi Girişimler, Okul Kültürü Oluşturma ve Okul Fiziki Ortamının Yönetimi. Toplamda beşli Likert tipi 33 madde kullanılarak oluşturulan ölçeğin öz değeri 42.92 ve açıklanan toplam varyans oranı % 81.84 olarak belirlenmiştir. Ölçekte yer alan maddelerin .50 ile .78 arasında değişen faktör yük değerleri, ölçeğin güvenilirliğini desteklemektedir. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonuçları, ölçeğin altı faktörlü yapısını doğrulamıştır. Bu doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonuçları, elde edilen uyum değerlerinin (RMR=.04, RMSEA= .07, CMIN=1091.21, CMİN/DF=2.29, CFI= .94, NFI= .91, IFI=.94, TLI =.94) yüksek uyum gösterdiğini ortaya koymaktadır. Ölçeğin maddeleri arasındaki toplam korelasyon değerleri, en düşük .75 ve en yüksek .92 olarak belirlenmiştir. Cronbach alfa güvenirlik katsayıları ise alt boyutlar için sırasıyla .96, .96, .96, .94, .95 ve .95 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Tüm ölçeğin iç tutarlılık katsayısı 0.98 olarak bulunmuştur, bu da ölçeğin güvenilirliğini desteklemektedir. Bu çalışma, öğretmen algılarına dayalı güvenilir ve geçerli bir okul müdürü performans ölçüm aracının başarılı bir şekilde geliştirildiğini göstermektedir.
