Öz

Bu çalışma, yapay zekanın (YZ) beşeri bilimlerdeki epistemolojik dönüşümünü disiplinler arası bir perspektifle ele almaktadır. Edebiyat, tarih, din ve felsefe gibi temel beşeri disiplinler, YZ teknolojilerinin gelişimiyle birlikte yalnızca araştırma teknikleri bakımından değil, anlam üretim süreçleri açısından da önemli bir dönüşüm geçirmiştir. Çalışma, bu dönüşümü hermeneutik, fenomenolojik ve posthümanist teorik yaklaşımlar ekseninde tartışmakta; YZ’nin bilgi üretimi, metin yorumu, etik ve öznellik konularındaki etkisini sorgulamaktadır. Eleştirel inceleme ve içerik analizi yöntemleriyle yapılandırılan bu araştırma, YZ’nin geleneksel epistemolojik yapılarla girdiği gerilimi ve bu gerilimden doğan yeni bilgi rejimlerini analiz etmektedir. Sonuçlar, YZ’nin tamamlayıcı fakat ikame edici olmayan bir rol oynadığını, beşeri yorumlama biçimlerinin yerini alamasa da onları dönüştürdüğünü göstermektedir.

THE DIGITALIZATION OF MEANING: THE TRANSFORMATIVE ROLE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE HUMANITIES

Öz

This study explores the epistemological transformation induced by artificial intelligence (AI) within the humanities from an interdisciplinary perspective. Core disciplines such as literature, history, religion, and philosophy have undergone significant changes not only in terms of research methods but also in meaning-making processes, driven by the advancement of AI technologies. The paper engages with these transformations through the theoretical lenses of hermeneutics, phenomenology, and posthumanism, critically examining the role of AI in knowledge production, text interpretation, ethics, and subjectivity. Structured through critical review and content analysis, the research investigates the epistemic tensions arising from AI’s interaction with traditional interpretative frameworks. Findings indicate that AI functions as a complementary, though not substitutive, actor in the humanities - transforming, rather than replacing, human-centered approaches to meaning.
