Öz

Self-verification refers to the individual's efforts to harmonize his/her evaluations of himself with the evaluations of those around him. Self-verification is the projection of oneself to others as one is to ensure psychological consistency and promote the stability of social interactions. The aim of this study is to present the development and working tendency of the concept of self-verification in organizations with the help of a bibliometric analysis to individuals interested in the subject. The data used within the scope of the study were obtained from the "Web of Science" database. Analyzes and visualizations were made with the help of the VOSviewer program. In the study, publications dealing with self-verification in organizations were examined and various information such as the most repeated keywords, the most productive authors, countries, institutions, journals and the connections between them were obtained. According to the findings from the analysis, studies on self-verification in organizations highlight several key insights. Swann W. B. emerged as the most productive, co-cited, and collaborating author in this field. The most frequently repeated keywords include "self-verification", "self-verification theory", "authenticity", "self-esteem", "social identity", "job performance" and "self-verification striving". Additionally, the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology was identified as the most productive journal. America stood out as the most productive country, while the University of Texas was recognized as the most productive institution.
