TÜRKİYE’DE KAMU HARCAMALARININ EKONOMİK BÜYÜME ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİ

Öz

Çalışmada Türkiye için 1950-2019 dönemi verileri kullanılarak kamu harcamaları ve ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişki incelenmiştir. Bu kapsamda, ARDL sınır testi yaklaşımıyla değişkenler arasında hem uzun dönemli hem de kısa dönemli ilişkinin varlığı tespit edilmiştir. Analizde yer alan değişkenlere ait katsayıların %5 ve %1 anlam düzeyinde istatiksel olarak anlamlı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ekonometrik analiz sonuçlarına göre; uzun dönemde cari harcamaların, yatırım harcamalarının, transfer harcamalarının ve toplam harcamaların ekonomik GSYİH’yı artırdığı tespit edilmiştir. Diğer bir bulgu olarak da kısa dönemde ise toplam harcamaların GSYİH üzerinde pozitif etkisi saptanmıştır. Bu araştırmada, kamu harcamalarının ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkisinin pozitif olduğu ve Keynesyen teoriyi desteklediği tespit edilmiştir.

The Effect of Publıc Expendıtures On Economıc Growth in Turkey

Öz

In this research, the correlation between public expenditure and economic development is studied. In this point of view, both short term and a long term correlation is established between the variables through the ARDL bounds test approach. The coefficients all of the variables included in the analysis were statistically significant at the 5% and 1% significance level.
According to the econometric analysis results; It has been determined that current expenditures, investment expenditures, transfer expenditures and total expenditures in the long term increase GDP. The other finding was that in the short term, total expenditures have a positive effect on GDP. In this research was determined that the effect of public expenditures on economic growth is positive and supports Keynesian theory.
