Integrated Reporting Model Proposal for Participation Banks in Turkey: The Case of South Africa

Öz

Integrated reporting is defined as the reporting activity that presents financial and non-financial information of organizations, on the basis of value creation, how value is created, preserved or consumed in the short, medium and long term. The interest-free banking sector, whose way of carrying out its activities is based on Islamic principles, emerges as the sector whose size in interest-free financial assets is increasing every year. However, when the IIRC Database is examined, it is seen that there are few interest-free banks in the world that publish integrated reports. In the study, it is aimed to examine the integrated reports of interest-free banks in the IIRC Database operating in South Africa, the country where integrated reporting is the best in the world, and to guide other interest-free banks.

Türkiye’deki Katılım Bankalarına Entegre Raporlama Modeli Önerisi: Güney Afrika Örneği

Öz

Entegre raporlama, kuruluşların finansal ve finansal olmayan bilgilerini, değer yaratma temelinde, kısa orta ve uzun vadede değerin nasıl yaratıldığını, korunduğunu veya tüketildiğini sunan raporlama faaliyeti olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Faaliyetlerini yerine getirme biçimi İslami ilkelere dayalı olan katılım bankacılığı (faizsiz bankacılık) sektörü ise faizsiz finans varlıkları içerisindeki büyüklüğü her geçen yıl artan sektör olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Ancak IIRC Database (veri tabanı) incelendiğinde, dünyada entegre rapor yayımlayan az sayıda faizsiz bankanın olduğu görülmektedir. Çalışmada, dünyada entegre raporlamanın en iyi olduğu ülke olan Güney Afrika’da faaliyet gösteren ve IIRC Database’de yer alan faizsiz bankaların entegre raporlarının incelenmesi ve Türkiye’deki katılım bankalarına rehberlik etmesi amaçlanmıştır.
