RFID TEKNOLOJİSİ: FIRSATLAR, ENGELLER VE ÖRNEK UYGULAMALAR

Öz

Yenilikler özellikle teknoloji tabanlı yenilikler rekabet üstünlüğü elde etmek isteyen firmalar için çok önemlidir. Süreçlerini sürekli olarak geliştirmeyi amaçlanan firmaların gerçekleştirmesi gereken faaliyetlerden biri yeni teknolojilerin değerlendirilmesidir. RFID teknolojisi de özellikle son yıllarda önem kazanan bir teknolojidir. Bu makalede RFID teknolojisi kapsamlı olarak tanıtılmaktadır. RFID teknolojisinin tarihsel gelişimi ve RFID sistemleri için gerekli altyapı gereksinimleri açıklanmaktadır. Daha sonra, RFID teknolojisi ile sağlanan avantajlar ve dikkat edilmesi gereken konular ortaya konmaktadır. RFID teknolojisini ve Barkod teknolojisi ile karşılaştırmalar yapıldıktan sonra, önemli RFID projeleri tanıtılmaktadır. Sonuç bölümünde ise RFID teknolojisinin kullanımı ile ilgili olarak teknoloji yönetimi kapsamında öneriler sunulmaktadır

Öz

Innovations especially technology based innovations are too much important for the firms which aimed to create competitive advantage. Assessing technologies is one of the activities for firms which aimed to improve their processes continuously. RFID technology is one of the technologies which gained importance in the recent years. In this article, RFID technology is explained in detail. History of RFID technology and infrastructure requirements for RFID technology are given. Later, advantages and the issues that should be taken into consideration are explained. After comparing Barcode technology and RFID technology, important RFID projects are given. In the conclusions section, suggestions related with the RFID technology are given with the context of technology management.
