Classroom Teachers’ Metaphoric Perception on Behaviors which are Taught 3rd Class Students by Value Education

Öz

In the study, class teachers’ metaphorical thoughts about behavior of values education are aimed to determine. The study has been made with attendance of 274 class teachers who work in Isparta at the spring semester of 2013-2014 academic years. In this study, one of the qualitative research methods, phenomenological approach is used. The form of sentences such as “Responsibility……… is like.”, “Because it is…………” are transmitted by metaphors and these sentences are the basic data sources of this study. Data are analyzed by using content analysis. In the reability study which is performed for this research, reability has been provided at the rate of %90. In terms of gender, male and female teachers’ metaphors usually are similar. In terms of seniority, for all seniority the most-produced metaphor is stone in behavior of patience, bird is in the behavior of freedom and scales are in the behavior of justice. When we look at the reasons of producing all behaviors, it is seen that teachers use imagery of perception, shape, person and event while producing metaphors

Sınıf Öğretmenlerinin Üçüncü Sınıf Öğrencilerine Değerler Eğitimiyle Kazandırılmak İstenen Davranışlara Yönelik Metaforik Algıları

Öz

Araştırmada sınıf öğretmenlerinin değerler eğitimine yönelik davranışlar hakkındaki metaforik düşüncelerini belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma 2013-2014 öğretim yılının bahar döneminde Isparta il merkezinde görev yapan 274 sınıf öğretmeniyle gerçekleşmiştir. Araştırmada, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden fenomonolojik (olgu bilim) yaklaşım kullanılmıştır. Metaforlarını aktarmış oldukları “Sorumluluk……………gibidir. Çünkü………...….dır biçimindeki cümleler bu çalışmanın temel veri kaynağıdır. Veriler içerik analizi kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Bu araştırmaya özgü olarak gerçekleştirilen güvenirlik çalışmasında %90 oranında bir uzlaşma (güvenirlik) sağlanmıştır. Cinsiyet açısından baktığımızda, genel olarak bay ve bayan öğretmenlerin ürettikleri metaforlar birbirine benzemektedir. Kıdem olarak ise; sabır davranışında tüm kıdemlerde en çok üretilen metafor taş, özgürlük davranışında kuş ve adalet davranışında terazi olmuştur. Tüm davranışların üretilme gerekçelerine baktığımızda, öğretmenlerin metaforlarını üretirken daha çok algı, şekil, kişi, olay benzetmeleri yaptığı görülmüştür
