Araştırma nitel bir durum çalışması olup katılımcıların belirlenmesinde amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden maksimum çeşitlilik örneklemesi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin analizinde tematik analiz yaklaşımı kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Adıyaman il merkezinde yer alan 8 ve Gaziantep il merkezinde yer alan 4 okul olmak üzere toplam 12 ilköğretim okulunun müdürleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular, ilköğretim okullarına öğrenci kayıtları yapılırken bir yönetim bilgi sistemi olan Adrese Dayalı Nüfus Kayıt Sistemi’nin (ADNKS) esas alınmasının okula ulaşım, akademik yapı, okul gelirleri, bürokrasi ve fırsat eşitliği temaları altında çeşitli olumlu ve olumsuz sonuçları ortaya koyduğunu göstermektedir

The purpose of this study was to investigate elementary school administrators’ opinions on the effects and outcome of enrolling students in elementary schools through the Address-Based Population Register System. In this qualitative study, the maximum variation sampling method, a purposeful sampling approach, was utilized to select the participants. In order to analyze the data, the thematic analysis approach was used. The participants were 12 elementary school principals, 8 from Adıyaman and 4 from Gaziantep cities. The findings indicate that the school principals perceived that the Address-Based Population Register System contains both positive and negative aspects which were investigated under five different themes: transportation to the school, academic structure, school revenues, bureaucracy and equal opportunities
