On the Combined Nature of Newtonian Gravity: A Rosetta Stone for Gravitation

Öz

In this study, we give a Rosetta stone for gravitation. In 1836, Italian scientist Ottaviano-Fabrizio Mossotti hypothesized that universal gravitation might be a residual attractive force arising from an imbalance between electrical attraction and repulsion among charged particles. We postulated gravitational force formulas for particle pairs and explained weak field gravity or Newtonian gravity using these formulas and considering Ottaviano-Fabrizio Mossotti’s ideas on the gravity. We have shown that Newtonian gravitation is a combined force. We also give formulas for the Newtonian gravitation constant, G. This work unifies weak field gravity with electromagnetism and opens new possibilities for understanding gravitation further. Furthermore, this work brings Mossotti's theory to completion almost 190 years after its inception, comparing his framework with our own. Results of the paper can be used to develop a strong field gravity theory in the future. This paper requires only high school level of mathematics. We also suggest several experiments to verify whether the gravitational force formulas for particle pairs are correct or not. The suggested experiments are not costly and can be done in less than two years in our opinion.
