The increase in journalists' online interactions has made it easier for them to become targets of online harassment. This situation, which has become a global problem, causes many researchers from different parts of the world to conduct research on the issue from different perspectives. The aim of this study is to identify the trends of academic articles in the international literature on online harassment against journalists and to evaluate how the issue is addressed in these studies. To this end, the Web of Science (WoS) database was searched using the keywords journalist and online harassment, and 83 articles were found due to the examining conducted by predetermined criteria. Two different analysis methods were used in this study. Bibliometric analysis was used to analyze the development of publications on online harassment of journalists, and content analysis was used to determine the perspectives and research methodologies of the researchers. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the articles were predominantly based on the experiences and perceptions of journalists working in different countries on online harassment, and that the issue of gender-based online harassment occupies an important place in this field.
