Economic crimes are the actions that are prohi-bited due to ıhe fact that they jeopardize or lıarm tlıe economic intcrests of the society.
Economic crimes have the property of creatiııg a vvidespıead chain effect of action and rcaction in society. For this reason, they not only lead to speci-fic and concrete haıms but also destruct the foun-dations of the economic moral prevailing in the country. The chain effect of the economic crimes tempts the public servants to the habit of taking bri-bes and results in the disintegration of the people’s respect for the public authority. Besides, under the condition of free compctition, the economic crimes givc an undue advantage to those who commit them.
Considering ali these negative effects and conduc-ting the necessary rcsearches, a convenient erime and punishment policy must be determincd and a serious struggle against economic crimes must be initiated.
