Modern economic thought accepts that both deductive and inductive methods equally necessary for economic reasoning. In the past economists had been divided with respect to these methods as clas-sical and historical sehools. Austrian psychological school and Kari Manc had attempted to settle the differences. At the end of the nineteenth century the controversy bet\veen the modem priests of deduc-tive and inductive methods had been concluded by the risc of econometrics.
