Turkey different religions, languages and is a country where various communities of ethnic groups. One of these ethnic groups is the Gypsies. Gypsies, whose origins are in Northern India, live in different countries of the world, especially in Eastern Europe (Romania, Bulgaria, Spain, Hungary, Turkey). Gypsies often differ from the dominant culture in their countries with their cultural values and different lifestyles. In this context, the aim of the study is to reveal the Gypsies and their problems from the perspective of Turkish citizens of Gypsy origin, who are administrators working in different public institutions in the local geography. Basic qualitative research, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. The study group of the researcher consists of 3 district governors, 3 deputy mayors of the district, and a senior official from the Provincial Population Directorate, Provincial Directorate of National Education, Provincial Directorate of Health, and Provincial Directorate of Family, Labor and Social Services. In addition, five Turkish citizens of Gypsy origin, one of whom is the Gypsy association president, took part in the research as participants. The data were obtained from interviews, which is one of the qualitative data collection tools. These data were analyzed by descriptive analysis, one of the qualitative data analysis techniques. In addition to the prejudices they face in society, employment, education, and accommodation are the most important problems of Gypsies.
