Determination of The Antioxidant Activities of Some Endemic Tanacetum L. (Asteraceae) Taxa Which Have Been Installed in Erzincan and Environment
Öz
In this study, the antioxidant activities of the
chloroform and the ethanol extracts of the leaves of three different endemic taxa
spreading around Erzincan [Tanacetum heterotomum, Tanacetum
densum subsp. eginense and Tanacetum alyssifolium] were
investigated. The antioxidant activities of the extracts were identified by
using DPPH radical scavenging activity, reducing power, total fenolic content,
total flavonoid content, ABTS radical scavenging activity, metal chelating
activity and determination of total antioxidant capacity methods. Among the
extracts studied, it was determined that, the extracts of Tanacetum heterotomum had the highest activity for many
parameters.
