The Effect Of Health Workers' Social Capıtal On Entrepreneurshıp Tendencıes

Öz

One of the most important factors that determine the social and economic welfare level of societies is access to health services. Increasing demand for health services and increasing population rates have turned the growth of the health sector into an obligation rather than a goal. New initiatives and entrepreneurs are needed in the health sector to meet the growth requirement of the sector. There are many factors that affect people's tendency towards entrepreneurial activity. Among these elements, there are also the types of capital owned by the individual. This study aimed to examine the effect of individual social capital of health sector employees on their entrepreneurial tendency. Considering that the most appropriate method to achieve this purpose is the quantitative research method, scales that can determine the relationship between social capital and entrepreneurial tendency were used. Data were collected from 426 healthcare professionals working in Düzce province using the survey technique. The data was obtained using the convenience sampling technique. Frequency, factor, correlation, regression and differences analyzes were applied to the data obtained. According to the results of correlation and regression analysis, the social capital possessed by the participants has a positive effect on the entrepreneurship tendency of individuals. Due to this effect, it can be said that efforts and supports aimed at improving the social capital of healthcare professionals will positively affect healthcare entrepreneurship. In order to develop social capital, it would be beneficial to increase the social opportunities of individuals, support their membership in social structures, and create grounds where they can interact with more social networks. Examining other factors (individual resources, working conditions, social impact, etc.) that positively or negatively affect the entrepreneurial tendency of healthcare workers may play a positive role in increasing new entrepreneurial activities in the healthcare sector.

Sağlık Çalışanlarının Sosyal Sermayesinin Girişimcilik Eğilimlerine Etkisi

Öz

Toplumların sosyal ve ekonomik refah düzeyini belirleyen en önemli unsurlardan biri, sağlık hizmetlerine erişim imkânlarıdır. Gün geçtikçe artan sağlık hizmetleri talebi ve artan nüfus oranları, sağlık sektörünün büyümesini bir hedeften çok bir zorunluluğa dönüştürmüştür. Sektörün büyümesi gerekliliğinin karşılanması için sağlık sektöründe yeni girişimlere ve girişimcilere ihtiyaç vardır. İnsanların girişimcilik faaliyetine dönük eğilimini etkileyen birçok unsur vardır. Bu unsurlar arasında, bireyin sahip olduğu sermaye çeşitleri de bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, sağlık sektörü çalışanlarının sahip olduğu bireysel sosyal sermayenin girişimcilik eğilimine etkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaca ulaşmak için en uygun yöntemin nicel araştırma yöntemi olduğu düşünülerek sosyal sermaye ve girişimcilik eğilimi arasındaki ilişkiyi belirleyebilecek ölçekler kullanılmıştır. Düzce ilinde görev yapan 426 sağlık çalışanından anket tekniği kullanılarak veriler toplanmıştır. Veriler kolayda örneklem tekniği ile elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen verilere frekans, faktör, korelasyon, regresyon ve farklılık analizleri uygulanmıştır. Korelasyon ve regresyon analizi sonuçlarına göre katılımcıların sahip olduğu sosyal sermayenin, bireylerin girişimcilik eğilimi üzerinde olumlu yönde etkisi bulunmaktadır. Bu etkiden dolayı sağlık sektörü çalışanlarının sahip olduğu sosyal sermayeyi geliştirme amaçlı çaba ve desteklerin, sağlık girişimciliğini olumlu yönde etkileyeceği söylenebilir. Sosyal sermayenin geliştirilebilmesi için bireylerin sosyal imkânlarının arttırılması, sosyal yapılara üyeliklerinin desteklenmesi, daha fazla sosyal ağ ile etkileşim kurabilecekleri zeminler oluşturulması faydalı olacaktır. Sağlık çalışanlarının girişimcilik eğilimini olumlu veya olumsuz yönde etkileyen diğer unsurların (bireysel kaynaklar, çalışma şartları, toplumsal etki vb.) incelenmesi, sağlık sektöründe yeni girişimcilik faaliyetlerinin arttırılmasında olumlu rol oynayabilir.
