Öz

Çalışmanın amacı bir üniversitenin
iki ayrı fakültesinde okuyan üniversite öğrencilerindeki flört şiddeti
prevalanslarının saptanması ve etkileyen etmenlerin karşılaştırılmasıdır.
Kesitsel tipte olan bu çalışma, araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan anketler
aracılığıyla, 1 Mayıs- 30 Haziran 2017 tarihleri arasında
gerçekleştirilmiştir.  Basit rastgele
örnekleme yöntemiyle 435 öğrenci seçilmiştir. Frekans analizleri, ki-kare ve
lojistik regresyon analizleri uygulanmıştır. Toplam 424 öğrenci araştırmaya
katılmış ve bunların %21.4’ünde flört şiddeti maruziyeti saptanmıştır. Cinsiyet
ve fakülte ile flört şiddeti arasında anlamlı bir ilişki saptanmazken;
çocuklukta aile içi şiddete maruz kalanlarda 2.7 kat (%95GA=1.4-5.5; p=0.003)
daha fazla maruziyet görülmüştür.  Flört
şiddetini engellemek için aile içi şiddeti önlemeye yönelik etkin politikalar
uygulanmalı ve üniversite öğrencilerine yönelik danışmanlık ve eğitim
hizmetleri verilmelidir.

FREQUENCY and EFFECTING FACTORS of DATING VIOLENCE in STUDENTS of a UNIVERSITY

Öz

Our aim
was to determine the prevalence of dating violence among students in two
different faculties of a university and to compare the factors affecting them.
This cross - sectional study was performed between 1 May - 30 June 2017 via
questionnaires that developed by researches. 435 students were selected by
simple random sampling method. Frequency analyzes, chi-square and logistic
regression analyzes were applied. In total, 424 students were included in the
study and 21.4% of them had dating violence exposure. No significant
association was found between dating violence and gender or faculty; 2.7 times
(95% CI =1,4-5,5; p=0,003)  more exposure
was seen in those who experienced domestic violence in childhood. In order to
prevent the dating violence, effective policies should be applied to prevent
domestic violence and consultancy and education services should be provided to
university students.
