This review study aims to examine the role of digital storytelling in early childhood education. Digital storytelling is a technique that combines traditional storytelling with digital technologies to provide children with effective, interactive and creative learning experiences. This technique allows teachers to produce content with various multimedia tools and support children's cognitive, linguistic, social and emotional development. Research in the literature shows that digital storytelling increases children's attention, concretises learning, supports child engagement and improves their expressive skills. It also contributes to the development of skills such as collaboration, creativity and critical thinking. In this context, preschool teachers can evaluate digital storytelling as one of the contemporary teaching methods in early childhood education and make innovative contributions to their practices. They can benefit from artificial intelligence tools and children's narratives while developing digital stories.
