Today, science and technology are developing rapidly and the knowledge acquired by human beings is increasing and they are curious about this knowledge. Socioscientific issues are at the forefront of this knowledge. The reason for this is that our current life and socioscientific topics are related. Socioscientific topics have an important place in science education. In science education, it is aimed to learn and understand social problems. In order to provide information about the contents of the theses that have been studied in the field of socioscientific topics in the field of science education, and to guide future studies, 43 master's and doctoral theses, which were studied on socio-scientific topics in the field of science education in Turkey between 2008 and 2020, were accessed in the national thesis center of the Council of Higher Education. The year the theses were written, the university where the study was conducted, the subject studied, the gender of the person who did the study, the sample size and sample selection method, the study method used in the research, the research pattern, data analysis techniques, data collection tools, the study group, and the language of the thesis were all taken into account in this research. Data were collected through document analysis and analyzed by content analysis method. Then the results were explained by discussing the possible reasons.
