Çalışanların Yeşil Memnuniyeti (Employees’ Green Satisfaction) Ölçeği Türkçe Uyarlaması: Geçerlik ve Güvenirlik Çalışması

Yıl 2026, Sayı: 24, 41 - 57, 18.01.2026

Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Çalışanların Yeşil Memnuniyeti (ÇYM) Ölçeği’nin Türkçeye uyarlanarak geçerlilik ve güvenirlik analizlerinin yapılmasıdır. Araştırma, nicel araştırma desenlerinden tarama modeli çerçevesinde tasarlanmıştır. Ölçek uyarlama sürecinde Brislin’in (1970) ileri–geri çeviri yöntemi izlenmiş, uzman görüşleri aracılığıyla dilsel ve kavramsal uygunluk sağlanmıştır.

Turkish Adaptation of the Employees’ Green Satisfaction Scale: A Validity and Reliability Study

Yıl 2026, Sayı: 24, 41 - 57, 18.01.2026

Öz

The aim of this study is to adapt the Employees’ Green Satisfaction (EGS) Scale into Turkish and to conduct its validity and reliability analyses. The research was designed within the framework of a quantitative survey model. During the adaptation process, Brislin’s (1970) forward–backward translation method was applied, and linguistic as well as conceptual validity was ensured through expert evaluations. The construct validity of the scale was examined through Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Criterion-related validity was tested by analyzing correlations with job satisfaction and turnover intention. Reliability was assessed using Cronbach’s Alpha and the Spearman-Brown split-half coefficient. The study sample consisted of 395 employees working in the private sector in Adana, Türkiye. The results of the EFA indicated that the single-factor structure of the scale explained 52.74% of the total variance, while CFA results demonstrated acceptable model fit indices (χ²/df=1.824; CFI=0.992; RMSEA=0.046). The internal consistency of the scale was found to be high (α=0.869). Furthermore, the EGS scale showed a significant positive correlation with job satisfaction (r=0.305) and a significant negative correlation with turnover intention (r=-0.296). The findings confirm that the Turkish version of the EGS scale is a valid and reliable measurement instrument and can be effectively used to assess employees’ satisfaction with organizational environmental initiatives. Beyond introducing the scale into Turkish literature, this study also provides a foundation for future research in organizational commitment, sustainability-oriented human resource management, and pro-environmental behavior.
