Türk Popülasyonunda Diş Oranları ve Estetik Algı Arasındaki İlişki

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türk popülasyonunda maksiller anterior dişlerin klinik kron boyutlarını genişlik, yükseklik ve oranlar açısından değerlendirmektir. Ayrıca, elde edilen verilerin, Altın Oran ve Tekrarlayan Estetik Dental oranlarıyla uyumu incelenmiştir. Katılımcıların estetik beklentilerini değerlendirmek amacıyla ayrıca bir anket uygulanmıştır 130 katılımcının (84 kadın, 46 erkek) maksiller anterior dişlerinin mesiodistal ve gingiva-insizal boyutları dijital kumpas ile ölçülmüştür. Ölçümler iki hekim tarafından alınmış ve değerlerin ortalaması kullanılmıştır. Hekimler arası uyumu değerlendirmek için, Sınıf İçi Korelasyon Katsayısı kullanılmıştır. Ölçümler öncesinde katılımcılara estetik algıyı değerlendiren 11 soruluk bir anket uygulanmıştır. Verilerin Altın Oran ve Tekrarlayan Estetik Dental oranlarıyla ilişkisini incelemek için One Sample t-Test ve Runs Test kullanılmıştır. Anket sonuçları ile ölçümler arasındaki ilişki, Point Biserial Correlation Analysis ile değerlendirilmiştir. Maksiller anterior diş oranları ile Tekrarlayan Estetik Dental oranı arasında her iki cinsiyet de istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur (p<0.001). Dişler arası oranlar ise Altın Oran’a istatistiksel olarak yakın bulunmuştur (p<0.001). Sağ ve sol diş oranları ile estetik algı anketi yanıtları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki tespit edilmemiştir (p>0.05). Türk popülasyonundaki anterior diş oranları, Tekrarlayan Estetik Dental oranına kıyasla Altın Oran’a daha yakındır. Diş oranlarının estetik algı üzerinde anlamlı bir etkisi yoktur. Çünkü estetik algının şekillenmesinde kişisel tercihler ve diğer faktörler daha belirleyici rol oynamaktadır.

The Relationship Between Dental Ratios and Aesthetic Perception in the Turkish Population

The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical crown dimensions of maxillary anterior teeth in the Turkish population by assessing their width, height, and proportional relationships. The study also aimed to determine the compatibility of the data with the Golden Ratio and the Recurring Esthetic Dental proportion. Additionally, a questionnaire was conducted to assess the aesthetic expectations of participants. The mesiodistal and gingiva-incisal dimensions of the maxillary anterior teeth of 130 participants (84 female, 46 male) were measured using digital calipers. Two physicians took the measurements, and the average of the values was used. Intraclass Correlation Coefficient was employed to assess inter-physician agreement. Prior to measurements, participants completed an 11-question survey on aesthetic perceptions. One Sample t-Test and Runs Test were used to examine the relationship between the data and the Golden Ratio and Recurring Esthetic Dental proportions. Point Biserial Correlation Analysis was used to compare the relationship between the survey results and the obtained measurements. Statistically significant differences were found between the ratios of maxillary anterior teeth and Recurring Esthetic Dental in both genders (p<0.001). The interdental ratios were statistically close to Golden Ratio (p<0.001). No significant relationship was found between the right-left dental proportions and the responses to the aesthetic perception questionnaire (p>0.05). The proportions of anterior teeth in the Turkish population are closer to the Golden Ratio than the Recurring Esthetic Dental ratio. Tooth proportions do not significantly influence aesthetic perception, as personal preferences and other factors play a greater role in shaping aesthetic perceptions
