Bu çalışmanın amacı, sosyal kaytarma kavramı üzerine yapılan yayınların bibliyometrik performans analizini gerçekleştirmektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Scopus veri tabanının başlığında, özetinde ve anahtar kelimelerinde “social loafing” ve bununla eş anlamlı olarak kabul edilen “Ringelmann effect” anahtar terimlerini içeren çalışmalar taranmıştır. Herhangi bir yıl kısıtlaması yapılmamış, sadece İngilizce yayınlar ve yönetim bilimiyle yakından ilgili olduğu düşünülen Scopus kategorisi olarak Social Sciences (Sosyal Bilimler), Business, Management and Accounting (İşletme, Yönetim ve Muhasebe), Economics, Econometrics and Finance (Ekonomi, Ekonometri ve Finans) adlı üç alan seçilmiştir. Bu kısıtlamalar sonucunda toplam 295 yayından oluşan veri setine ulaşılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerle R yazılımı kullanılarak bibliyometrik performans analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Analizler, sosyal kaytarma ile ilgili yayınların, kaynakların, yazarların, kurumların, ülkelerin, anahtar kelimelerin yıl, atıf ve sıklık kriterlerine göre performansını ortaya koymuştur. Araştırma sonuçlarının sosyal kaytarma konusunda çalışma yapan araştırmacılara konunun ana hatlarını, konuyla ilgili eğilimleri ve yayınlanan en önemli dergi ile makaleleri göstermesi, kurumların, ülkelerin ve yazarların kavramla ilgili bilimsel yayın performanslarını değerlendirmesi, birbirini tekrar eden araştırmaların önüne geçmesi ve literatürdeki araştırma boşluğunu gidermeye çalışması açısından faydalı olacağı düşünülmektedir.

The aim of this study is to perform a bibliometric performance analysis of publications on the concept of social loafing. In accordance with this purpose, studies containing the key terms “social loafing” and “Ringelmann effect”, which is accepted as a synonym, in the title, abstract and keywords of the Scopus database were scanned. No year restriction was made, only English-language publications and as Scopus categories that are considered to be closely related to management science, three fields, namely Social Sciences, Business, Management and Accounting, Economics, Econometrics and Finance, were selected. A dataset of a total of 295 publications was reached as a result of these restrictions. Bibliometric performance analysis was conducted using R software with the obtained data. The analyses revealed the performance of publications, sources, authors, institutions, countries, and keywords related to social loafing according to year, citation, and frequency criteria. It is thought that the results of the research will be useful for researchers working on social loafing in terms of showing the main outlines of the subject, the trends on the subject, and the most important journals and articles published, evaluating the scientific publication performances of institutions, countries, and authors on the concept, preventing repetitive research, and trying to eliminate the research gap in the literature.
