CONTENT ANALYSIS ON ETHICAL STATEMENTS OF LARGE-SCALE INDUSTRAIL ORGANIZATIONS IN TURKEY

Öz

The aim is to better understand the ethical value commitments of large-scale enterprises in Turkey and which values they emphasize in their ethical statements through content analysis within the framework of discussions on organizational ethics and business ethics in the literature. In this study, the previous literature on organizational ethics and business ethics was analyzed and the ethical statements of large-scale enterprises operating in Turkey, selected by deliberate sampling method, were examined by content analysis method. The findings show that the most recurring ethical statements of the companies included in the research include issues such as compliance with laws and regulations, prevention of conflicts of interest, respect for human rights and nature, confidentiality and protection of trade secrets. These results reflect the ethical values and priorities of businesses and help us understand which issues organizational ethics practices in this field focus on. Literature review and research results emphasize the importance of businesses strengthening their ethical organizational culture and theorizing their business ethics rules. Sustainability, social responsibility and long-term success of businesses indicate the need to focus more on ethical values and practices. Businesses' transition to a way of doing business based not only on legal compliance but also on ethical values and culture can increase the long-term sustainability of businesses and create a positive reputation

TÜRKİYE’DEKİ BÜYÜK ÖLÇEKLİ SANAYİ KURULUŞLARININ ETİK BEYANLARINA DAİR İÇERİK ANALİZİ

Öz

Literatürdeki örgütsel etik ve iş etiği konularındaki tartışmalar çerçevesinde içerik analizi ile Türkiye’deki büyük ölçekli işletmelerin etik değer taahhütlerini ve etik beyanlarında hangi değerlere vurgu yaptıklarını daha iyi anlamaktır. Bu çalışmada örgütsel etiğe ve iş etiğine dair önceki literatür analiz edilerek, kasti örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen Türkiye’de faaliyet gösteren büyük ölçekli işletmelerin etik beyanları içerik analizi yöntemi ile incelenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular araştırmaya dahil işletmelerin en çok tekrar eden etik beyanlarının yasalara ve mevzuata uyum, çıkar çatışmalarının engellenmesi, insan haklarına ve doğaya saygı, gizlilik ve ticari sırların korunması gibi konuları içerdiğini göstermektedir. Bu sonuçlar, işletmelerin etik değerlerini ve önceliklerini yansıtmaktadır ve bu alandaki örgütsel etik uygulamalarının hangi konulara odaklandığını anlamamıza yardımcı olur. Literatür incelemesi ve araştırma sonuçları işletmelerin etik örgüt kültürünü güçlendirmeleri ve iş etiği kurallarını kuramsallaştırmalarının önemini vurgulamaktadır. İşletmelerin sürdürülebilirlik, toplumsal sorumluluk ve uzun vadeli başarısı etik değerlere ve uygulamalara daha fazla odaklanılması gerektiğini göstermektedir. İşletmelerin sadece yasal uyum açısından değil, aynı zamanda etik değerlere ve kültüre dayalı bir iş yapma biçimine geçiş yapmaları işletmelerin uzun vadeli sürdürülebilirliğini artırabilir ve olumlu bir itibar oluşturabilir.
