Neslihan Arıkan Fidan completed her undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies at the Faculty of Sport Sciences of Gazi University and was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2021. She has authored numerous articles, books, and book chapters in the fields of sociology of sport, sports history, sports museology, sports education, and research ethics. She has taken part in various national and international academic projects and currently serves as a faculty member at Gazi University, where she teaches at both undergraduate and graduate levels. She is also pursuing a second doctoral degree in Educational Sciences at Sorbonne Université Paris Cité under the supervision of François-Xavier Bernard. Conducting her doctoral research in relation to the Éducation, Discours, Apprentissages (EDA) research environment at Université Paris Cité, Arıkan Fidan brings together perspectives from educational sciences and interdisciplinary research in her academic work. As part of her academic activities in France, she spent three academic terms as a visiting researcher at Sorbonne University. She is a member of the Association des Chercheurs en Sciences de l’Éducation (AECSE), one of the leading academic associations in the field of educational sciences in France.
