YEME DAVRANIŞINDA YENİ YAKLAŞIMLAR: SEZGİSEL YEME VE YEME FARKINDALIĞI

Öz

Yeme tutum ve
davranışları genetik, çevre, hormonlar, bireyin o anki duygusal durumu, sosyo-demografik
özellikler, geçmiş deneyimler, kültürel ve dini inanışlar, medya, beden algısı,
şişmanlık, iştah vb. pek çok faktörden etkilenmektedir. Yeme tutumlarındaki
değişimler yeme bozuklukları gibi bazı sağlık sorunlarına neden olabilmektedir.
Birden fazla öğeden etkilenen yeme davranışı psikolojik açıdan ele alındığında
insanların günlük hayatta çeşitli olaylar sonucu sıkça maruz kaldığı stres,
gerginlik, can sıkıntısı, mutluluk, sevinç, heyecan gibi duygularla yakından
ilişkili olduğu görülmektedir. Son yıllarda sağlıklı yeme tutum ve
davranışlarının kazanılmasında özellikle sezgisel yeme ve yeme farkındalığı
yetisinin gelişmişliğinin önemi vurgulanmakta hatta bu becerinin bir müdahale
tekniği olarak kullanılmasındaki rolüne yer verilmektedir. Sezgisel yeme ve
yeme farkındalığının özellikle ağırlık yönetimi ve yeme davranışı
bozukluklarının tedavisinde geleneksel enerji kısıtlı diyet tedavisinin
alternatifi olabileceği vurgulanmaktadır. Bu makalede, sezgisel yeme ve yeme
farkındalığı kavramlarının ve bu yeme davranışlarının yeme bozuklukları ile
ilişkisi hakkında literatür bilgisi özetlenecektir.
