Culture of Healthy and Physıcal Actıvıty Status in People Who Does and Doesn't Sports

Öz

In this study, it was aimed to examine the culture of being healthy and cognitive behavioral physical activity status in terms of some demographic information in individuals who do and do not do sports. In the study, a descriptive relational survey model was used. The population of the research consists of individuals who actively do sports and those who do not. The sample, on the other hand, consists of 371 people selected by random sampling method from among individuals who actively do and do not do sports in 2022. In the analysis of the data obtained from the scales, Student's t-test was applied for paired groups (gender, sporting status and marital status), One-Way Analysis of Variance and Tukey's multiple comparison test were applied for more than two groups (age, income level and education status). In the study, no significant difference was found between the total scores of the scales according to the marital status of the individuals. However, significant differences were found in the sub-dimensions of the culture of being healthy, criticism of individual actions and judgment, according to gender and income status. It was observed that women and individuals with higher incomes had higher awareness. In addition, it was determined that people aged 26 and over had a higher culture of being healthy compared to individuals aged 18-25, and individuals with a bachelor's degree were higher than those with an associate degree. According to the physical activity status, it was determined that individuals with middle and low income had higher expectations of results than those with high income, and those with undergraduate degrees were higher than those with associate degree. It has been observed that individuals who actively do sports have higher levels of both the culture of being healthy and cognitive behavioral physical activity than those who do not. As a result, ensuring the level of physical activity and maintaining a healthy life by activating the society will help reduce health expenditures and reduce deaths due to obesity.

Spor Yapan ve Yapmayan Bireylerde Sağlıklı Olma Kültürü ve Fiziksel Aktivite Durumları

Öz

Bu araştırmada, spor yapan ve yapmayan bireylerde sağlıklı olma kültürü ve bilişsel davranışçı fiziksel aktivite durumlarının bazı demografik bilgiler açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada, betimsel nitelik taşıyan ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini, aktif olarak spor yapan ve yapmayan bireyler oluşturmaktadır. Örneklem ise, 2022 yılında aktif olarak spor yapan ve yapmayan bireyler arasından tesadüfi örneklem yöntemiyle seçilen 371 kişiden oluşmaktadır. Ölçeklerden elde edilen verilerin analizinde, ikili gruplar (cinsiyet, spor yapma durumu ve medeni durum) için Student t-testi, ikiden fazla gruplar (yaş, gelir düzeyi ve eğitim durumu) için Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi ve Tukey çoklu karşılaştırma testi uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada, bireylerin medeni durumlarına göre ölçek toplam puanları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilemedi. Bununla birlikte, cinsiyet ve gelir durumuna göre sağlıklı olma kültürünün alt boyutları olan bireysel eylemlerin eleştirisi ve yargı alt boyutlarında anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edildi. Kadın ve gelir durumu yüksek olan bireylerin daha yüksek farkındalığa sahip olduğu görüldü. Ayrıca, 26 yaş ve üzeri kişilerin 18-25 yaş aralığındaki bireylere göre, lisans mezunu olan bireylerin ise ön-lisans mezunu olan bireylere göre sağlıklı olma kültürlerinin daha yüksek çıktığı tespit edildi. Fiziksel aktivite durumuna göre, orta ve düşük gelire sahip olan bireylerin yüksek gelire sahip olanlara, lisans mezunu kişilerin ise ön lisans mezunlarına göre sonuç beklentilerinin daha fazla olduğu tespit edildi. Aktif olarak spor yapan bireylerin spor yapmayanlara göre hem sağlıklı olma kültürü hem de bilişsel davranışçı fiziksel aktivite durumlarının daha yüksek çıktığı görülmüştür. Sonuç olarak, toplumun aktif hale getirilmesiyle fiziksel aktivite seviyesi ve sağlıklı bir yaşam sürdürülmesinin sağlanması, sağlık harcamalarını azaltmaya ve obezite nedeniyle ölümlerin azaltılmasına yardımcı olacağı düşünülmektedir.
