The movement of the community houses, that can be considered as the opening move of the Republic Era to the nation, is valuable in many ways. The movement also shows the functionality of the populist movement, which is the most basic principles of the Republic of Turkey. The community centers, that are literally a public school, have aimed to educate the population of Turkish people, who have been in rural mostly, in almost every field from health to education, from agriculture to art and literature, from economics to foreign culture and their literature. The miscellaneous educational moves of the community centers, have reflected to other cities of the country with the magazines, established in-house. Another feature of the magazines is that collecting the values related to the region and converting the values to works. So that Turkish intellectuals have reflected their knowledge by leaning towards to the society and increased their development by handling the values of the society. One of the community centers of the country has been located at Ordu. Ordu and Yeşil Ordu magazines have worked as publication area for activities of community centers. This magazines, like its counterparts in the country, carried out the function of the ideological apparatus of the state. The literature studies of the magazines have increased the recognition of the cities by spreading across the country.
In this study, community houses in Turkey are emphasized and Ordu community center is briefly explained. After the Ordu and Yeşil Ordu magazines are explained, the poems about the city of Ordu in these magazines are discussed. It has been seen that the poems, that have been processed, have shed light on the geographical, cultural and human characteristics of Ordu.
