Heqin Politikası Tang Hanedanı diplomasi Batı Han Hanedanı kültürel etkileşim
Heqin和亲 policy, also known as “peace through kinship”, refers to historical agreements, that which has been established with peoples and nomadic empires living in the North of China during and after the Han Dynasty. The main aim of the policy was to establish blood ties by marrying princesses in peace and friendship agreements. It has been first started to be used for this aim during the Western Han dynasty. This study thus investigates; the use, characteristics, scope, and impact of the policy during Western Han and Tang Dynasties on the idea that this two dynasties’ used the Heqin agreements for different purposes. In line with this possibility, some of the alliances Western Han Dynasty made with the Huns and Wusuns; Tang Dynasty made with the Göktürks, Tibetans and Uighurs have been studied in terms of their causes and consequences.
