Subjective well-being among university students

Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı, cinsiyet, algılanan ekonomik durum, algılanan anne-baba tutumu, fiziksel görünüşten memnuniyet,dini inanç ve denetim odağı değişkenlerinin üniversite öğrencilerinin öznel iyi oluş düzeyi ile ilişkisini incelemektir. Araştırmanınörneklemi 2002-2003 Öğretim Yılı Güz Döneminde Hacettepe Üniversitesi’ne devam etmekte olan 700 üniversite öğrencisindenoluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen Öznel İyi Oluş Ölçeği (Tuzgöl Dost, 2005); Dağ (1991)tarafından Türkçe’ye uyarlanan Rotter’ın İç-Dış Kontrol Ölçeği ve yine araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen Kişisel Bilgi Formukullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde t testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçları, öğrencilerinöznel iyi oluş düzeylerinin cinsiyet açısından anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediğine işaret etmektedir. Diğer yandan, öğrencilerin özneliyi oluş düzeyleri, algılanan ekonomik durumları, algılanan ana-baba tutumları, fiziksel görünüşlerinden memnuniyetleri, diniinançları ve denetim odakları açısından anlamlı farklılık göstermektedir
