The Eastern Anatolia Region, constituted 21 % the lands of Turkey is a geographical region of special importance for insect species diversity due to the fact that it shows the transition feature between the north and south of Anatolia and includes transitional areas reaching into Anatolia. As with many other insect groups the Eastern Anatolia Region shows an important richness in term of Elateridae family insect species. In this paper Elateridae fauna in Eastern Anatolia Region has been evaluated and to indicate the importance of the species of this group in the biodiversity of Eastern Anatolia Region has been aimed. This study has shown that there are almost 152 species belonging to 39 genera of seven subfamilies of Elateridae in Eastern Anatolia Region. With 68 species Erzurum is the first place among these provinces. Kars, Muş, Tunceli, Bitlis, Malatya, Bingöl, Ardahan, Erzincan, Hakkâri, Van, Elazığ, Ağrı, and Iğdır followed Erzurum with 34, 31, 27, 20, 19, 17, 15, 13, 12, 10, 8, 6, 5 species, respectively. The presence of more species in Erzurum, Kars and Muş is the result of studies conducted in these provinces. In the future, it is also aimed to intensify the studies in other provinces of this Region.
