Disasters have had negative consequences on societies from the past to the present and caused the routine life order to deteriorate. It is necessary to reveal the current disaster risks and to take measures against these risks in order to prevent the negative effects of disasters, to make the society resistant to disasters and to reach normal living conditions after disasters. All stakeholders have responsibilities in disaster risk reduction, as well as certain responsibilities in the corporate sector. In this study, the corporate social responsibility framework is discussed in terms of the roles of the corporate sector in disaster risk management. In the study, literature was reviewed and examples of corporate social responsibility projects related to disasters carried out in our country were included. As a result of the study, it was determined that the corporate sector could play a role in providing support for the education, informing and raising awareness of the society about disasters, mobilizing financial and personnel resources in case of disasters, and enabling its employees to carry out the necessary work on disaster preparedness. The corporate sector can contribute to the disaster risk management process in terms of including its existing capabilities, opportunities and resources in the disaster risk management process, leading the public in disaster preparedness, and planning and implementing activities within itself to combat disasters.
