A COMPARATIVE BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS ON GRADUATE THESES IN THE FIELD OF PUBLIC RELATIONS AND ADVERTISING IN TURKEY

Abstract

In this study, the bibliometric characteristics of the theses of public relations and advertising studies on www.tez.yok.gov.tr are analyzed. The sample size of this study includes 504 approved graduate theses published between the years 2007 and 2017 in these fields. In this study, the content analysis method is used, codes are formed according to the subject of these theses and these are categorized. As a result, it is seen that most of the theses in public relations are written in the subjects: & quot; public relations, public relations discipline, public relations education, etc.” In contrast, the least number of theses in public relations are written in the subjects: “Management, international management, sme etc.” In the field of advertising, it can be said that most of the theses are written in the subjects: “Advertising tools, advertising control, advertising evaluation, etc.” and the least number of theses in advertising are written in the subjects: “brand, product and property”. Conclusions are made at the end of the study.
