Yıl 2011, Cilt: 7 Sayı: 13, 315 - 325, 01.06.2011

Öz

This study aims at determining whether the tendency to consider future or immediate consequences, which is rather a new subject in local literature, influences individuals‟ preferences to use credits. For this purpose, it was attempted to examine whether individuals used credit before, considered taking a bank loan in the near future, the purposes of credit usage and the terms they preferred when using credits. Afterwards, whether these findings are related with the relevant personality trait was tried to be determined by using Chi square analysis. The results of the research show that there is a significant relationship between credit usage preferences and the consideration of future consequences or immediate consequences according to the set hypotheses
