Examination of Sports High School and Fine Arts High School Students' Communication Skills With Regards to Some Variances

Öz

The objective of the research is to study the communication skills of students studying in Sports High School and Fine Arts High School in the context of various demographic variables and to scientifically demonstrate the possible discrepancies between students studying in two disparate educational fields. The working group of the study comprises of 262 volunteer high school students, 128 of whom are studying in Sports High School and 134 of whom are studying in Fine Arts High School. Research data were gathered via the "Personal Knowledge Form" and the "Communication Skills Evaluation Scale" composed by the researchers. In the assay of the data, definitive statistics, t-test to establish the disparity between two groups, Anova to detect the difference between more than two groups and Games-Howell test to identify the discrepancy between groups were utilized.
In consequence of the research, a meaningful difference was detected in the communication abilities of the students studying at the Sports High School with regards to age variable. A significant disparity was discovered in the communication abilities of the participants with regards to the high school type variance for the benefit of the Fine Arts High School students. When the outcomes of the analysis made in terms of the other variable of the study, which is the class level variable, are examined, it was established that the communication skills of the 9th grade students in the Sports High School were pointedly higher than the students in the 11th and 12th grades.

Spor lisesi ve güzel sanatlar lisesi öğrencilerinin iletişim becerilerinin bazı değişkenler açısından incelenmesi

Öz

Araştırmanın amacı, Spor Lisesi ve Güzel Sanatlar Lisesi öğrencilerinin iletişim becerilerini
çeşitli demografik değişkenler bağlamında inceleyerek, iki farklı eğitim alanında öğrenim
gören öğrenciler arasındaki olası farklılıkları bilimsel olarak ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmanın
çalışma grubunu, 128’i Spor Lisesi ve 134’ü Güzel Sanatlar Lisesi’nde okuyan toplam 262
gönüllü lise öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verileri, araştırmacılar tarafından
oluşturulan ‘’Kişisel Bilgi Formu’’ ile ‘’İletişim Becerilerini Değerlendirme Ölçeği’’
aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde, tanımlayıcı istatistik, bağımsız gruplar
için t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (Anova) ve gruplar arası farklılığı ortaya koymak için
Games- Howell testi kullanılmıştır.
Araştırma sonucunda; Spor Lise öğrencilerinin yaş değişkenine göre iletişim becerilerinde
anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmiştir. Katılımcıların lise türü değişkeni açısından iletişim
becerilerinde Güzel Sanatlar Lisesi öğrencileri lehine anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilmiştir.
Araştırmanın diğer değişkeni olan sınıf düzeyi değişkeni açısından yapılan analiz sonucuna
bakıldığında ise; Spor Lisesindeki 9. sınıf öğrencilerinin 11. ve 12. sınıf öğrencilerine göre
iletişim becerilerinin anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
