Okul Öncesi Dönem Çocuğu Olan Ebeveynlerin Okuma İnançları ile Öz Düzenleme Becerileri

Öz
Ebeveynlerin davranışsal, duyuşsal ve bilişsel düzenlemeler yapabilmesi ebeveyn olma rolüne uyum sağlanması açısından değerli görülmektedir. Bu durum ebeveynlik öz düzenlemesi kavramıyla açıklanmaktadır. Ebeveynlerin çocuklarıyla etkileşimlerinde önemli bir diğer nokta ise inançlarıdır. Bu noktada literatürde yer alan araştırmalardan ebeveynlerin kitap okuma inançları dikkat çekmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, 2-6 yaş çocuğu olan ebeveynlerin kitap okuma inançları ve ebeveynlik öz düzenleme algılarının incelenmesi ve aralarındaki ilişkinin ortaya çıkarılmasıdır. Nicel araştırma desenlerinden ilişkisel tarama modeline uygun olarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Katılımcı grup 603 anne ve 505 baba olmak üzere toplam 1108 kişiden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmaya katılan ebeveynlerin kitap okuma inançlarının ortaya çıkarılabilmesi için “Ebeveyn Okuma İnanç Ölçeği”, ebeveynlerin öz düzenleme becerilerinin ortaya çıkarılması için “Ebeveyn olarak ben: ebeveynlik öz düzenleme ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Sonuçlar, ebeveynlerin genel olarak kitap okuma inançlarının ve öz düzenleme becerilerinin birbiriyle pozitif yönde ilişkili olduğunu göstermektedir. Ebeveynlerin kitap okuma inançları ve ebeveynlik öz düzenleme becerileri ile sahip oldukları çocuk sayısı, ebeveynlerin yaşı ve eğitim düzeyleri değişkenleri arasında anlamlı bir fark olduğu çıkmıştır.
