In the Ballet Department of Conservatories, “Character Lecture” has an important role Durin the education, students learn the stylistic features of Russian, Spanish, Naepolitan and Hungarian dances practically.
This study examines russian dance in detail and also show its development until today. In addition, it describes in deatil ‘russian dance’ known as folk dance how entered the classical balet repertoire. While examining the Russian dance, A large space were devoted to the choreography and artistic works of great master Igor Moiseyev. Also in this study, the first uses of Russian folk costumes on the classical ballet stage and its changes from past to present were examined and explanied.
This artwork includes methodically explanations of bar and middle exercises of Russian dances as character dances, the describing its stylistic and gestural features, the determining its musical specifications.
