Despite the growing attention for social entrepreneurship the subject in the academic literature is still at the age of infancy. The definition and typology of social entrepreneurship and its aspects separating from commercial entrepreneurship were focused on. Social entrepreneur is acting as a change agent and using entrepreneurial methods to create and sustain social value without being limited to resources currently in hand. In this study, it was aimed to determine the social entrepreneurship orientations of commercial entrepreneurs and to identify the relationships between social and commercial entrepreneurs in Hatay, Turkey. According to the findings, there are some relationships between commercial and social entrepreneurship characteristics, but the main difference between them is related to the profit-based view. It was in the academic literature that those who experienced poor living conditions in their past lives had higher probability to be social entrepreneurs was not proved in this study.
