Öz

Öksürük, akciğerleri aspirasyondan koruyan, hava yola- rındaki sekresyonların atılmasını sağlayan ve solunum hastalıklarında sık görülen semptom olan korucuyucu bir reflekstir. Çocuklarda öksürük nedenleri, öksürük süresi, prezentasyonu ve alta yatan nedenler yönünden erişkinler- den farklıdır. Cough in Childhood

Öz

Cough is a protective reflex that enhances mucociliary func- tion and clears excessive secretions and airway debris from the respiratory tract, as well as a very common symptom of a respiratory disease. The etiology of pediatric cough differs from adults in terms of duration, presentation, and underl- ying causes. In this article, the importance of pediatric cough is reviewed in the light of current literature
