Determination of Innovation Strategies and Application of Innovation Audit in a Company Operating in the Construction Sector

Öz

Purpose: The aim of this study is to conduct an innovation audit in a company operating in the construction industry and to determine the company’s innovation strategies.
Methodology: The study was carried out in two stages. In the first stage, a survey study is conducted with company employees for innovation audit through face-to-face interviews. In the second stage, a workshop is performed to determine possible innovation strategies.
Findings: The firm is a 2nd level structured firm according to the innovation maturity model used and imitative innovation strategy can be applied to many product groups in the company.
Practical implications: The results of the study can be used to support the establishment of the company’s corporate innovation system.
Originality: The application carried out in this study is a real case study. It enriches the limited number of real cases in the literature.

İnşaat Sektöründe Faaliyet Gösteren Bir Firmada İnovasyon Stratejilerinin Belirlenmesi ve İnovasyon Denetimine Yönelik Uygulama

Öz

Amaç: Bu çalışmada, inşaat sektöründe faaliyet gösteren bir firmada inovasyon denetimi uygulaması yapmak ve firmanın inovasyon stratejilerini belirlenmesine katkı sunmak amacıyla yürütülmüştür.
Yöntem: Çalışma iki aşamada gerçekleştirilmiştir. İlk aşamada, firma çalışanlarına yüz yüze görüşme yoluyla inovasyon denetimine yönelik bir anket çalışması yürütülmüştür. İkinci aşamada ise bir beyin fırtınası yapılarak her ürün grubu için olası inovasyon stratejileri belirlenmiştir.
Bulgular: Kullanılan inovasyon olgunluk modeline göre firma 2.düzey yapılandırılmış bir firmadır. Bununla birlikte, firmadaki birçok ürün grubu için izlenmesi gereken olası inovasyon stratejisi, taklitçi strateji olarak belirlenmiştir.
Sonuç ve Öneriler: Çalışmanın sonuçları firmanın kurumsal inovasyon sisteminin kurulmasına destek olacağı değerlendirilmektedir.
Özgün Değer: Bu çalışmada gerçekleştirilen uygulama gerçek bir vaka çalışmasıdır. Literatürde sınırlı sayıda bulunan gerçek vaka sayısını zenginleştirmektedir.
