Multiple sklerozlu bireylerde Bilişsel Egzersiz Terapi Yaklaşımı’nın yorgunluk ve denge üzerine etkileri

Yıl 2018, Cilt: 5 Sayı: 2, 74 - 81, 16.07.2018

Öz

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, Multipl Skleroz (MS)’lu bireylerde Bilişsel Egzersiz Terapi Yaklaşımı’nın (BETY) yorgunluk ve denge üzerine etkinliğini araştırmaktı.

Yöntem: Toplam 31 birey (n çalışma grubu =16, n kontrol grubu =15), çalışma ve kontrol grubu olmak üzere rastgele 2 gruba ayrılarak, 8 hafta boyunca takip edildi. Çalışma grubuna BETY uygulandı, kontrol grubuna ev programı verildi. Bireyler tedavi öncesi ve 8 hafta devam eden 24 seans sonunda olmak üzere iki kez değerlendirildi. Denge değerlendirmesi için; Berg Denge Ölçeği, Tandem Duruş Süresi, Zamanlı Kalk Yürü Testi, Fonksiyonel Uzanma Testi, yorgunluk değerlendirmesi için; Yorgunluk Şiddet Ölçeği, Yorgunluk Etki Ölçeği kullanıldı.

Bulgular: Çalışma grubuna ait tüm değişkenlerde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı iyileşme görüldü (p<0.05).

Sonuç: MS’li bireylerde yorgunluk ve denge kaybı önemlidir. Egzersiz yaklaşımları bu iki parametre üzerine önerilmektedir. Bu çalışma BETY’nin MS’li bireylerde yorgunluk ve denge üzerine etkili olduğunu gösterdi.
