A Posterior Fossa Abnormality Detected In Late Intrauterine Period

Heterogeneous posterior fossa abnormalities consist of Mega cisterna magna MSM , Dandy-Walker malformation and vermian hypogenesis / hypoplasia. The incidence of posterior fossa malformations is 1 in 5000 live births 1 . Our objective is to discuss a case in the light of literatüre who was followed after the 33th week of gestation . The subject was delivered at the 37+1 gestation by cesarean section. The arachnoid cyst was diagnosed via neonatal ultrasound and MRI. Fetuses with MSM or arachnoid cyst should be screened for additional intracranial / extracranial anomalies and karyotyping should be advised.

Geç İntrauterin Dönemde Tespit Edilen Posterior Fossa Anomalisi

Öz

Mega sisterna magna MSM , Dandy Walker malformasyonu ve vermian hipoplazi ile birlikte heterojen posterior fossa anomalilerini oluşturur. Posterior fossa malformasyonlarının insidansı 5000 canlı doğumda 1’dir 1 . Bu makalede 33. gebelik haftası sonrasında kliniğimizde takip edilerek doğumu gerçekleştirilen bir olgunun literatür bilgileri ışığında tartışılması amaçlanmıştır. Antenatal ultrasonografide fetal sisterna magna geniş, kafa şekli dolikosefalik ve frontal bossing mevcut olarak izlenmiş olup, 37+1 hafta iken sezaryen ile doğurtulan yenidoğanın ultrasonografi ve MR ile değerlendirilmesi neticesinde araknoid kist tanısı konulmuştur. MSM veya araknoid kist tanısı alan fetuslarda eşlik edebilecek intrakranial/ekstrakranial anomalilerin taranması ve karyotip analizi önerilmelidir.
