The Relationship Between Fertility Adjustment And Self-efficacy of Women In The Period of Infertility Treatment

Öz

Aim: The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between fertility adjustment and self-efficacy perceptions of women in infertility treatment.Material and Methods: The study is a cross-sectional study of descriptive type. Survey was conducted between 1 July 2016-1 January 2017 at the infertility clinic of a university hospital in eastern Turkey. Primary infertile women with infertility treatment without any psychiatric disorder and volunteers were included in the study. Among the dates mentioned, 349 women applied to the infertility polyclinic. 230 infertile women who met the sampling criteria formed the sample of the researcher. Personal data form, infertility self-efficacy scale and fertility adjustment scale were used as data collection tools. Ethics committee approval, written permission from the university hospital where the research was conducted and verbal permission from the women were received for the study. In data evaluation, the descriptive properties are calculated as number, percentage, average. The relationship between fertility adjustment and self-efficacy was assessed by Pearson Correlation analysis.Results: 53.5% of the women participating in the study are between the ages of 26-35. 29.6% of women are literate. Most of the women stated that they had social security 80.9% , they did not work 89.1% and their income was equal to the expenses 53.5% . 47.4% of women were diagnosed with infertility for 3 to 6 years and 41.7% of them were infertilite treatment duration is shorter than 3 years. 59.1% of women have experienced failed treatment at least one time and the reason of intertility of 47% of them was women factor. The mean score of infertility adjustment scale was 23.6 and the infertility self-efficacy scale score was 19.45 for women participating in the study. There was a significant positive correlation between fertility adjustment and self-efficacy of women. P

İnfertilite Tedavi Sürecindeki Kadınların Fertilite Uyumları ile Öz-Yeterlikleri Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi

Öz

Giriş: Bu çalışmanın amacı, infertilite tedavi sürecindeki kadınların fertilite uyumları ile öz-yeterlik algısı arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir.Gereç ve Yöntemler: Çalışma tanımlayıcı tipte kesitsel bir çalışmadır. Araştırma 1 Temmuz 2016-1 Ocak 2017 tarihleri arasında Türkiye’nin doğusunda bir Üniversite hastanesinin infertilite polikliniğinde yürütülmüştür. İnfertilite tedavi sürecinde olan primer infertil, herhangi bir psikiyatrik hastalığı olmayan ve araştırmaya katılmaya gönüllü olan kadınlar araştırmaya dahil edilmiştir. Belirtilen tarihler arasında 349 kadın infertilite polikliniğine başvurmuştur. Örneklem kriterlerine uyan 230 infertil kadın araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak kişisel bilgi formu, İnfertilite öz- yeterlilik ölçeği ve fertilite uyum ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Çalışma için etik kurul onayı, araştırmanın yapıldığı üniversite hastanesinden yazılı izin ve kadınlardan sözel izin alınmıştır. Veri değerlendirilmesinde tanımlayıcı özellikler sayı, yüzde, ortalama olarak hesaplanmıştır. Fertilite uyum ile öz-yeterlik arasındaki ilişki Pearson Korelasyon analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir.Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan kadınların %53.5’i 26-35 yaş aralığındadır. Kadınların %29.6’sı okur yazar değildir. Kadınların çoğu sosyal güvencesinin olduğunu %80.9 , çalışmadığını %89.1 ve gelirlerinin giderlerine eşit olduğunu %53.5 belirtmişlerdir. Kadınların %47.4’ünün infertilite tanı süresi 3-6 yıldır ve %41.7’sinin infertilite tedavi süresi 3 yıldan kısadır. Kadınların %59.1’i en az bir kere başarısız tedavi deneyimi yaşamış ve %47’sinin infertilite nedeni kadın faktörüdür. Çalışmaya katılan kadınların fertilite uyum ölçeği puan ortalaması 23.26 ve infertilite öz-yeterlik ölçeği puan ortalaması 19.45 olarak bulunmuştur. Kadınların fertilite uyumları ile öz-yeterlikleri arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı ilişki saptanmıştır. p
