In this study, the effect of temperature, feed flow rate and biomass feed concentration parameters
on gasification performance of kenaf biomass hydrolysate using continuous atmospheric catalytic vapour phase
(AVPR) reforming system was examined. The effect of experimental parameters on the composition of gas products
were investigated using the RSM (Response Surface Methodology) method. One of the greatest advantages of this
method that makes it possible to study the effect of gasification efficiency on several experimental parameters by
carrying out a few experimental studies. The results showed that temperature was main factor on hydrogen-rich gas
production while other parameters (biomass feed concentration, feed flow rate) were secondary. As a result of the
optimazition, it was observed that the temperature should be above 295 °C, and the flow rate of 0.30 mL / min for
high yield hydrogen.
