13 Mart 1992 Erzincan Depremi ile İlgili Jeolojik Gözlemler ve Bazı Öneriler

Öz

Bu makalede, 13 Mart 1992 depremi ile ilişkili olarak bölgeye giden İstanbul Üniversitesi jeoloji ekibinin incelemelerinin sonuçlan ortaya konulmuştur. Bu inceleme, Kuzey Anadolu Fay (KAF) Zonu üzerinde yer alan Erzincan Havzasının tektonik ve stratigrafik durumu, depremin olasılı mekanizması, saha gözlemlerine dayalı depremle birlikte oluşan kırıklar ve faylar ve bazı oturma, sıkışma ve açılma yapılan, şehir merkezi ve çevresindeki hasar üzerine odaklanmıştır.

Geological Observations and Some Remarks Related to Erzincan Earthquake 13 March 1992

Öz

In this paper, the results obtained by the geological team of the University of Istanbul as a result of their visit to the region after the 13 March 1992 earthquake are displayed. The investigation is mainly based on the tectonic and stratigraphic situation of the Erzincan basin placed on the North Anatolian Fault (NAF) Zone, the probable mechanism of the earthquake, the fractures and faults happened during the earthquake, slumps, compressional and extensional structures based on field observations, and the damage which took place within the city and its surroundings.
