Development of An Knowledge Management Maturity Model For Universities (U-KMMM)

Yıl 2025, Cilt: 8 Sayı: 1, 1 - 13, 02.08.2025

Organizations are progressively investing in knowledge management initiatives to encourage the production, sharing, and storage of knowledge in order to gain a competitive advantage. Knowledge Management Maturity Models (KMMM) have been developed to help organizations assess their current level of knowledge management and provide recommendations for moving to higher levels. Universities are significant organizations that produce knowledge and train individuals who generate knowledge. In this competitive environment, it is essential for universities to enhance their competitive power both nationally and internationally, improve knowledge sharing with internal and external stakeholders, and be managed from a strategic perspective. There is currently no model specific to universities in the literature. This article aims to design a Knowledge Management Maturity Model for Universities (U-KMMM) by reviewing existing models.
