Teaching Ancient History In Textbooks Of Republican Primary History / Social Studies
Öz
In this study it have been analyzed changes and reasons of Antic Civilizations subject in
history and Social studies textbooks in fourth graders since there public earlyperiod. For this,
the subject of Antic Civilizations in History IV belongs to 1938, 1943, 1954, and 1964; Social
Studies 4 belongs to 1969,1978, 1987, 1996, 2000, and 2015; and Social Studies textbook
which was used for 6th and 7th graders in 2007 and 2015 were compared. The datas were
collected by using documentanalysis in this study. As it is seen at the findings, there were both
Antic East and Antic Civilizations in the textbooks. It was determined that in the textbooks
belongs to 1938, 1954 and 1964 Hittite, Grek and the Roman Civilizations more.
