Öz
Different communities have different characteristics in constructing family structures and raising children. Sharing the same geographic region and similarities in cultural values are the factors increasing the similarities in child raising between the countries. However, there are still some differences. In this study; by examining Mısır, Jordan, Iran and Israel, similarities and differences in parental roles and child raising between the countries are considered. As a result of this study; it is found that traditional values are protected in these countries but still there are positive changes

Öz
Farklı toplumlar aile yapılarının oluşturulması ve çocuk yetiştirilmesi açısından farklı özelliklere sahiptir. Aynı coğrafi bölgede bulunma, kültürel değerlerin benzerlik göstermesi; ülkeler arasında ebeveynlik rolleri ve çocuk yetiştirmedeki benzerlikleri arttırıcı niteliktedir. Bununla birlikte farklılıklar da söz konusu olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Ortadoğu ülkelerinden Mısır, Ürdün, İran ve İsrail incelenerek, bu ülkelerdeki ebeveynlik rolleri ve çocuk yetiştirme konularındaki benzerlik ve farklılıklar ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda; ülkelerde geleneksel değerlerin korunduğu ancak yeni gelişmelerle olumlu değişimlerin yaşandığı görülmüştür.
