Literature Review On CO₂ Emission And Human Capital Relation

Yıl 2020, Cilt: 9 Sayı: 1, 81 - 91, 27.03.2020

Öz

Environmental problems have an impact on social development and welfare as well as economic costs. Therefore, effects of CO2 emissions that emerge due to fossil fuel consumption and create environmental damage on human capital as the main source of economic growth and proposed policies have been the subject of many theoretical and empirical studies. The purpose is to reveal similar and different aspects of studies contributing to the literature, determine the findings and contribute to further studies. Mainly, studies examining the effects of environmental destruction which developing countries are exposed to because of using fossil fuels during the growth process on human capital are analysed. For this purpose, the findings investigating the relationship between CO2 emission and the human capital are included.
